pig pickin'

Oliver and I attended our first ever pig picking on Friday (Zoe went with us, but she's been before). It was at our friend Kevin's family home in the country outside of New Burn. Oliver loved the wide open space and ran so much...

that he lost his pants.

Oliver and Kevin are total bff's now.

Imagine waking up to this.

This is not the pig that was picked. She escaped from a nearby farm and survived on acorns for months. She was caught yesterday morning and unfortunately, this little piggy is going to market.

Bull.

Cows.

Oliver found himself some mud (this is one of his special talents).

Then Kevin's dad, Mr. Gary, squirted Oliver with the hose for a good ten minutes. Oliver loves water as much, if not more, than mud.

Mr. Gary is thoroughly endeared to Oliver for life.

Drying off.

Bear, the Kornegay family pet.

This is one happy toddler. Thank you Kornegay family for everything! We hope to see you again soon!

The saga continues

This time it was my fault. I accidentally killed Fishy by forgetting to put the anti-chlorine drops in his water. R.I.P. Fishy II.

Welcome home Fishy III.

garden days

For the most part Oliver has learned to stay on the path and only occasionally tramples my flowers.

Every morning he asks "Side?" (outside) "Fows?" (flowers)

Oliver does this silly thing with his lip all the time.

He walks around picking flowers, passes them to me and says: "Here go Mommy."

Then we swing

and do Pee Wee Herman impersonations.
