Sweetness
Last weekend, we rode our bikes to the farmer's market in Forsyth Park (I rode the bike and towed O in the trailer). During the ride, we had a conversation that went something like this...
O: Mommy, I'm practically 6.
Me: No honey, you're not going to be 6 until the end of next month. You're still 5.
O: Well, I had my birthday party at school so really I'm 6. Aren't you excited for me to be 6?
Me: No baby, some day you're not going to want to cuddle with mama or sleep with mama and you'll go away to college like Andy (from Toy Story) and so I'm going to cherish every single moment of you being 5. I will enjoy every moment of you being 6 too, but you're never going to be 5 again.
O: Mommy, I'm crying a little bit.
Me: Why honey?
O: Because my heart is filled with love. I'm happy but I'm crying.
