New Foods

Trip to Lowe's

We went to Lowe's to buy a rat trap! Yes, there is a rat in the house!!! Oliver says: "Big gross rat. Yucky. Don't touch it." I have no idea how he knows that rats are big, gross and yucky but it's true, they are and hopefully there'll be a dead one in my trap tomorrow morning. Anyway, we made a detour through the Christmas stuff and he took out all the musical Poohs and Tiggers in rocking chairs...

Then he pressed all the buttons on the musical Cinderella snowglobe, the musical Snoopy, etc. etc....

Then we took another detour to look at paint colors, and I turned around to find him on top of these paint cans saying "Look how tall I am!" It's always an adventure...

Bounce House

There was neighborhood party in a park near our house with a bounce house and Oliver bounced with the big kids. I was a little paranoid, but he did great.

I like fishies too

Oliver has been busy making lists of things he likes. It always starts with "I like fishies too." Here's a conversation that we had. The only prompting from me was "What else do you like?"

I like fishies.
I like bears.
I like mommy.
I like alligators.
I like mommy.
I like yogurt, very yummy.
I like pasta.
I like pasta and yogurt.
I like sauce. (We were eating pasta with marinara sauce during this conversation.)
I like bees, they go buzzzz.
Mommy go buzz. (A command.)
I like cantalope.
I like kiwis.
I like catalope and kiwis.
