I was looking through some old notes and found these quips:
O: Mommy, why are you going crazy? Because you're small-minded?
Me: My suggestion is that we take a nap.
O: Well, my suggestion is that I'm not tired.
O: Really you're wearing that shirt? Oh mommy, it just doesn't look girlish.
And, of course, the classic which I've probably already posted:
O: This best day ever isn't going so good.

All by himself!
Oliver tied his shoes by himself today for the first time. He also made about 4 espressos. It's time for him to learn to make breakfast!

Kentucky
Oliver offering me a flower outside the Shaker Museum

Beech Bend Amusement Park (wearing my hat)

We took the little ones on the log ride and they were traumatized. Oliver is so funny, wise and mature that I forget how little he is. Sarah was a little freaked out, but Oliver cried and I was reminded that he's only five. We took this photo to commemorate their bravery.

We thought we were safe with the Crazy Bus, but O wanted them to stop the ride.

O had a great time on Dumbo with mama.

The carousel is just his speed.

Reading a book to Grandma.

On the way out of town we stopped at Robert Penn Warren's birthplace and museum. Oliver: "Mommy, this museum doesn't have any cool stuff."
