Fishy...

Dear friends,

For all of you who knew and loved Fishy during his short time on this planet, we have some very sad news. Fishy is swimming with the fishes, and by that I mean we found him floating in his bowl this morning. I'll spare you any gruesome photos.

We are not sure if Jenny unwittingly murdered him by failing to acclimatize the water when she changed it yesterday, or if it was simply Fishy's time. Luckily we're within the month long warranty period, and with any luck we won't develop a reputation at Petsmart for being the fish killers: "Hey guys, we killed another one, yeah that one looks like Fishy, we'll take it."

Oliver doesn't know - I distracted him with Sesame Street and juice.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Safe Water Saves Lives.

Photos of Fishy II coming soon.

An adventure

On Jenny's days off, she and Oliver go on adventures together. These are pictures from their trip to the Museum of Life and Science where Oliver told me they "choo choo...ride...tunnel."

Happy Birthday Jenny!

Jenny's birthday celebration fell on a beautiful day, so we went to Tyler's (where else) and played around on the lawn. All went swimmingly, except for the fact that Oliver's advances were repeatedly shunned by a certain Ms. Jessie Rhodes.

As you can see, Oliver kept trying to hug Jessie, who coolly gazed at him with all the enthusiasm of a disgruntled postal worker.

Jessie, at the ripe age of four, is apparently way too cool for a mere almost two-year-old.

As one might imagine, the pursuit of the unattainable left Oliver confused.

As you very likely know, the tendency is for people to fawn over him.

Later, as we bathed in the golden light of divine providence, Oliver realized that despite Jessie's indifference, life is pretty darn good.

almost spring

This is how Oliver smells a flower. He scrunches up his little nose and breathes in and out very loudly.

We always take time out to smell (or poke) the flowers.

pink grapefruit

Oliver is a huge fan of alternative skin and hair care products. You witnessed him experiment with macaroni & cheese a few posts ago. Since then he's tried garbanzo beans, toilet water and, most recently, grapefruit. If he keeps this up, he could have a very bright future in the beauty industry.
