Heidelberg

We had a great time in Heidelberg. We stayed at the Dubliner Hotel and Irish Pub on the Hauptstrasse, a mile long pedestrian street in the center of the city.

There are a lot of pictures of Oliver sitting like this. He's going through a phase where he likes to sit and rest, so it usually takes us a while to go up or down steps. He'll sit and then say "Mommy sit," and pat the spot next to him.



We had a fabulous balcony on the third floor.

This was the view.


When Oliver saw this fruit and vegetable stand, he said "carrots," walked over, picked one up and licked it. We put it right back and no one was the wiser.


This is the castle.

This is the little road you have to walk up to get to the castle. You can't really tell in this photo, but it's pretty steep. Oliver walked part of the way and then said, "hold it" (which he says when he wants you to hold him), so Jenny gave him a piggy back ride.
